Grouping of Captain Edwin Bogert

Hi All,
I thought I would share with you the latest grouping I acquired, that of Captain Edwin Bogert of the 112th Anti-Aircraft Artillery. I acquired this from a Edwin’s daughter, whom I sit on the board of a non-profit with.

Edwin enlisted in August, 1942 and served in the ETO, specifically in the Rhineland’s and Southern France. He continued his service after WWII in the reserves until 1951. I won’t go into too much detail regarding his service, as all of it is spelled out in the paperwork provided below (no need to send away for his service records!).

There is not much remaining of his gear other than his ribbon bars, a couple of SSI’s, his duffle bag and some rank insignia.

However, there are a lot of liberated German items, which were probably obtained either during Edwin’s time securing supplies for construction of a POW camp, or during his post-war occupation duty.

In addition, there is a detailed photo album with 100+ photos from his time in Europe. I’m not in possession of this yet as his daughter wanted to pull out a couple photos of her father to keep, however will have it next week. I’ll be sure to update this thread once in hand.

In any case, I hope you enjoy!

First up is his various paperwork including discharge, OCS certificate and other forms that detail his service.
