Please help to identify WWII flier’s silver bracelet

My wife gave this to me as a birthday present a few years ago because of my interest in the B-17. It was purchased from an online military collector, who told her it belonged to a WWII B-17 bomber pilot. I have had no luck trying to identify either the flyer or his ID number. Any help here would be greatly appreciated…
