Right facing Heer variant

Hey gang! Thought I’d share my newest buckle that arrived today.
This is one rare bird - yeah: pardon the pun.

The eagle is facing the wearer’s right….if memory serves me correctly: production of this type of variant lasted only six months in 1936. Afterwards, the Heer went back to having the eagle face in the other direction.

This is my third example. The other two are from different makers. Given the bent prongs - I think this one is an Assman buckle. Does that ring a bell with some of you?

Quite happy to have it added to the collection. These buckles don’t come up for sale too often.
