Advice needed on M40 Tunic

I have this nice M40 that was converted to a walking out uniform. I loosened a few treads and could see the original white eagle is still in place under the silver eagle. Now, I need some advice; should I remove the silver eagle to make it back to the way the tunic came from the factory, or should I leave the silver eagle in place?
