Skull and eagle relic. This ones tough fellas

Got another one for judgement.
I’m going to take a shot at making a call. I think the skull is real but hard to say since most of the surface has been weathered away. Since there’s pitting I’m gonna say it’s real and the m1/52 looks good. The eagle I’m not sure about.
How did I do? Do all you great experts agree?
I’m thinking I shouldn’t get it because the there isn’t enough features on the front for authentication. The back looks good but that only tells me 50% of what is original.
I do have to consider the pitting on it, but is there anyway to fake rust like that?
