Tasmanian based WW1 German field pieces
Gday all,
Over the next few weeks i hope to present to you WW1 German field pieces that were shipped to Tasmania at the end of the Great War.
Most of these guns ended up as war memorial guards or were sited in public parks etc.

First up ia a 1917 Krupp built 15cm sFH13 howitzer thats located in Beaconsfield about 40km from my home in GeorgeTown.

This gun was one of 3409 built by both Krupp and Rheinmetall during this period.
This beast is also located in Beaconsfield.This one we paid for back int the early 70’s
