WW I Gott Mit Uns - Gürtelschnalle

Hey Mates..

Today i´ve got this WW I buckle from the Deutsches Reich. It has rests of some silver or goldcoating in the mounted(?) centerpiece.. i dont know what colour it really is. No marks on it. Anyone can tell me more about this precious little item ?? When was it made ? Oh man, hope it is not a fake..
