Here is another unique German passport issued in China. Interesting he was preparing to return and did not do so since war broke out with the USSR a week later, thus cutting off his route home: from end of 1939 to May 1941 most Germans returning/going to and from China was via the Siberian way, crossing over from Manchuria into Russia, all ended after June 1941. He only got back home way after the war ended…
