Allg/SS Shoulder Board Query

I’ve only been aware of the 6 strand Allg/SS Officers Board for Untersturmfuhrer through to Hauptsturmfuhrer.

Was there ever a regulation 4 strand Alllg/SS board ?

On page 97 of " SS uniforms,Insignia and Accoutrements" by A.Hayes there is a pic of a "Germania" Officer and his shoulder board looks to have only 4 strands.
