I have a Wound Badge, Silver grade (Verwundetenabzeichen) by the maker Klein & Quenzer (65). It has some ingrained dirt on it, especially on the back, also distinctive streak marks on the front. Would you suggest that it be cleaned, and if so, how. Personally I like the streaking down the front as it looks like ‘proper’ wear, but I would like your advice, please, on whether or not badges should be cleaned or left ‘as is’. Thank you.
