Luftwaffe officer uniform

Hi does anyone know if with the early M35 tuchhose or service dress trousers anything footwear wise was worn besides the low ankle boots or shoes ie the officers soft riding style boot, i know various pics show a lot of fighter pilots in walking out dress with breeches and high legs boots.
