British Airborne Helmets Shell flashes and markings.

Hi everyone,

I recently got hold of a mk.1 airborne helmet and it has a triangle marking at the rear of the shell, which could have been white washed.

Does anyone know what this could signify? Pathfinder? unit?

Any thoughts?
