During last weeks vacation I also found a heer buckle with a belt marked 95$ but 15% off for $76. I have been looking for a belt and buckle and have not seen them for under $100 so I again took a chance on it. Anyone have an idea on buckle maker or belt maker? Buckle is two piece steel or zinc. The belt has a circular mark that looks like it has 1941 in middle and maybe letters TAV but not sure. Any tricks to get a better view?
I have been searching for a Luftwaffe buckle but no luck.
Antique trip last week found the attached buckle. Buckle is steel with some remaining paint. marked IKA41 and the shortened tab has the JUL.KREMPS portion of mark visible. Dealer had it originally marked $75.00 but was running a sale of 30% off so I took a chance and bought it.
Bought a couple years ago from militaria dealer I see at the local antique shows. The buckle and tab were separate from the belt but they both had an old wet smell so I thought they went together. Dealer said the buckle was authentic but was not sure about belt. Attached pics for your coments.
I just got back from upstate NY where I purchased a kabar knife. I have been wanting a ww2 kabar for a while, and am wondering if I got a good one. The knife has "USMC" on the one side of the blade, and "KABAR olean ny" on the other. The knife has obviouslty been used, and is in very good but relic condition. The guy I bought it from said that it was recovered from Iwo Jima (yeah, right) and he bought it from the guy who picked it up on the island who followed the front line troops after the island had been won. How can I tell if this baby is real WW2?
came across this image and i just thought it could well be representative of trafalger square had we not held off and won the battle of britain

Whether anybody knows in what way to check whether a given person was decorated with the Monte Cassino Cross. Specifically it concerns the soldier around 5 KDP. Please for the help because the part of documents was destroyed during the fire.
