HJ Buckle with leather tab advice

Family heirloom HJ buckle with leather tab and belt. RZMm4/44 Cramer. Tab says Mitkop & co. Bielefeld 1942, but I can’t find any info. I would appreciate any advice on the rarity of the buckle. Belt is in poor condition, broken and dry rot, so any preservation advice is welcome as well. Thanks for helping out a novice!
