This is a classic example of what still happens here in the US, and I am sure abroad sometimes also. A war trophy brought home by a US Vet of WW2, and now somehow separated from the family of this Vet.

This eBayer looks to sell mostly bra’s and panties, and does not appear to be a militaria dealer or collector………..So you could call this a “New to Collector Market” piece.
This seller, probably a woman, will probably be going on a vacation after the end of this auction. It was probably brought into a a small shop, or maybe a garage sale find? I have not asked.

Here it is below……… a great looking helmet, already almost $5000…I wonder how high it would go if it had the liner.

I admire and like the way a couple of the people emailing her about the helmet told her not to give in and end the auction to a “Scumbag” dealer. :D;) perfect. I am happy it will just run the course also.

I am not so sure about it being “connected” to Mussolini….other than being Italian and WW2……..
