I’ll kick off with mine, a humble EK2. It’s an unmarked K&Q which has had the ribbon turned into a ladies style buttonhole mount with a silver monogram attached to it. It’s my favourite because of the unknown story behind it. I look at it and wonder who mounted it this way and why? A wife or mother whose son or husband had been killed and they wanted to wear his EK to remember him by perhaps? Is it the fallen soldier’s initials adorning the bow?
I’ll never know but it always makes me wonder.
