got this today its a press photo of the discovery of a site just a few miles out of the town of Malmedy where it was reported by survivors that German soldiers had gunned down their prisoners the article at the bottom says,

ABOUT DEC. 17 OR 18 WHEN THE GERMANS FIRST STARTED THEIR COUNTER ATTACK A FEW G.I.’S OF A GROUP OF OVER A HUNDRED PRISONERS ESCAPED AND TOLD THE STORY OF THE GERMANS SHOOTING THAT GROUP OF PRISONERS. A FEW DAYS LATER I BELIEVE THAT THE STATE DEPARTMENT ISSUED A STATEMENT ABOUT THE MASSACRE. THIS ALL HAPPENED A FEW MILES OUT SIDE OF THE TOWN OF MALMEDY. TODAY WE FOUND THE BODIES TO SUBSTANTIATE THIS STATEMENT. THE BODIES WERE IN A FIELD AT A PLACE CALLED FIVE CORNERS NEAR THE VILLAGE OF BAUGNEZ. THEY WERE STILL WHERE THEY HAD FALLEN, AND WERE BURIED ONLY BY THE SNOW THAT HAD FALLEN. THEY WERE ALL IN A GROUP AND IT SEEMS THAT THEY WERE MOWED DOWN BY GUNS FOR NO REASON AT ALL SINCE THEY WERE PRISONERS.
