This is an excellent replica of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, Type 1/Variation 3.
Established 29 July 1942. Awarded to division, brigade, regiment, battalion, company, and platoon commanders for personal and skillful command of their units in action.
Small suspension. Suspension measures 20mm high and 29.5mm wide. Soldered ring on top of star-point. Hole on reverse measures 21mm.
Some specimens have been observed with the ring made as part of the order instead of soldered. 3-rivets. Without stick-pin.
i bought these a while back, i wont post the atrocities , there are some really terrible ones, apparently these came from a guy who helped liberate it. i think they may be press release photos, but they are on agfa paper. see what you think anyway, there is a shine from my flash on them but youll get the point, cheers phil
Liked the previous thread on the LAH soldbuch. For caparison, I added scans of the one I have. Shame there is no photo of him.
I am mainly interested in the fact that he survived the war.
This would be, I think, a regular Volksdeutsche ausweis issued to a foreigner of German blood in Rumania. What more can one tell from this ausweis and the boxed-stamp in the middle? Please see scan.
this is unusual, the lady who owed this worked at berlin ss hq. then kept a dairy of her work place until retirement in 77. i love the xmas day theatre ticket, it came qith a picture of her boyfriend willy. came as a group from a member of another site,
I found this flag and what appears to be flares at an auction the other week. They all came together as a group. Won them for about $5.00
I think the flag is a WWII German Minefoeld flag but I am not sure as I can't find a whole lot of info on it.
As for the other two items, I was told by a friend that they were German flares that had already been fired. I dont think they are period because they seem to be in really really good shape.
