Need help! M1916 Double Decal Austrian Transitional Stahlhelm?

I think this one look OK. Austrian M16 with M31 liner. Missing chin strap, but decals look good. I believe missing paint on pins was due to the earlier metal pins not being compatible to the paint and it didn’t stick. Any opinions welcome.

1939 “243″ coded K98 project

I found myself working on another K98 project again. A good fellow collector buddy of mine fell on some hard times, and needed cash quick. He found a "vet bring back" k98 at a pawn shop a few months back. He decided to sell it to me for what I think is a great price. But here’s the catch, its the whole rifle minus the stock, barrel bands, hand guard, and etc. This thing is just begging for me to make it into my next rifle project. After inspecting the K98, it appears "bubba" was in the process of sporterizing it for hunting purposes. The stamped trigger guard is incorrect for the year, and it is engraved :o( The barrel, receiver, trigger, and bolt release all match. Also nothing is import marked either. The bolt is 100% matching to its self, but mismatched from the rifle itself. Most likely was mismatched during the surrender process. After doing some eBay hunting, I was able to find a decent K98 stock set. This stock works perfectly too. Laminated flat butt plate, which is correct for a 1939 dated rifle. After I install the stock, all I need to do is find a correct milled trigger guard. I just got the stock in the mail today, and it looks amazing. All im waiting for now is the rest of the rifle to arrive at my FFL, hopefully in the next few days I will have a complete K98 Mauser. Would be really great if it gets here before I leave for hunting season this year. Here are the pictures of the rifle, and the stock. let me know what you think! I get exited when i work on these types of projects LoL.

Best regards- Jarret
