Good evening everyone, can someone explain to me why does the victory medal that was attributed to Lance Corporal William Cann, has PTE rank on it? is it not the rank? doesn’t PTE stand for private? i’m really puzzled by this. I’d really appreciate if someone could shine some light on the matter.

Hi Guys,
I would like to share my latest purchase the Spanish cross in silver with swords. From my understanding and the research I have done this L/21 Forster and Barth marked cross was made for retail sale between 1941 to mid 1943. Apparently the L numbers began at L/10 for Spanish crosses.
I have also just purchased volume two combat badges of the Third Reich by S.Previtera which is proving to be a real eye opener for someone who is still learning when it comes to collecting Luftwaffe badges.
Any comments appreciated.

This is a smaller 16.5 inch x 14 inch flag with 4 inscriptions. If someone could translate , it would greatly be appreciated. Is this a flag that would have been carried into battle or is it a parade flag?
