He was born in 1932. So I believe he served sometime in the 1950s. He moved to the US in 1962. He grew up in Oswiecim and lived there during WW2. The stories he had from the war were amazing.
I have another picture but I am unable to upload it for some reason. Of course it is the one with the most detail.
Thank you all ahead of time.
Thanks,

We can identify time of awarding the dagger to Roehm. By having good photographs its possible to research the dagger more carefully. Not all archives, have photo in digital formats and in open sources, that case someone personally has to order and visit archive. But for now it is enough what we have in open sources and collections of community members.
The dagger has a lot of differences from standard SA Services dagger. The dagger had a lot of custom work, which includes relief shell of scabbards and ornaments guards on grip. One interesting thing is that wood of handle had two insignias SA and SS. Besides SA insignia is located on top, showing domination of SA over SS.
It is interesting that eagle on handgrip has new shape. Behind the head we can clearly see flat area. On photo with Meyer-Quade (with Christmas dagger) eagle head has carvings. So his dagger was produced when final details design was approved. And it couldn`t be from the same consignment as Christmas dagger.
I don’t have much to offer but to start this off I show this.
A rough looking 1914 Eisernes Kreuz 1st. class. Made by A.Werner and Sohns.
The backside is pillowbacked, with a cruciform backplate and two screw posts.
In ten years of posting on 4 different forums, we have only seen two others posted
and and one in a book.
It may not be pretty or even valuable but it is most certainly rare.
They measure 15/16 wide by 13/16 tall plus the prongs. Stamped nickel construction. For an enlisted man.
Any help would be great. They seem to have food detail.
