M40 Heer helmet recovered from clay

This helmet is a VERY interesting example. Its a M40 in fantastic condition with full liner and chinstrap. The reason im posting this under "relic helmets" is simple. You may not believe it, but this helmet was recovered from the ground in Russia. The seller told me it was found in the clay, and the clay preserved it for all of these years. Ive seen videos before where Russian relic hunters find relics in amazing condition like this, but never thought I would own one. Its like a helmet time capsule! the liner/chinstrap are still soft, and the paint is in great shape too. Only defect on this helmet is the small bullet/shrapnel hole. The damage really makes you think. I can read NS64 and a batch number of DN87. Please let me know what you think.

Best regards- Jarret

Battle damaged M40 Kriegsmarine helmet

Picked up this battle damaged M40 possible Kriegsmarine helmet recently. The damage is on the visor section of the helmet. Looks as if an explosion happened near it. The liner pins are still in place, but the liner its self is completely missing. Does the decal look to be an original navy decal? Im having a hard time reading the batch number and maker mark, but heres what I see. for the maker mark/size ?S66 cant figure out what comes before the S, and the batch number is 8212. Its really hard to read, so im not 100% sure thats exactly whats stamped. Please let me know what you think.

Best regards- Jarret

M43 edelweiss

Posted my M43 cap yesterday. Gwar had interest in seeing the Edelweiss I had neglected to show on the side. So he asked to see it & I am pleased to show. I don’t know if it is real. Looks like it is made of two pieces. Also, if it is original, I can’t claim it is to the hat. Anyone care enough to give opinion , please do.

Thanks for your interest G. !!

Soldier silhouette….What is this?

Hello everyone,
Can someone tell me what this is? It looks to me like once part of a plaque, maybe even a plaque-like award? It’s heavily marked on the backside, like it was possalbly glued as opposed to being mounted or screwed. It’s approx. 3 1/2" by 2 1/2," and has some weight to it. Could even be part of some post war hogwash. Anyway, I have no idea, anybody? Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!
