Important! Gasmask from grandma’s attic

Hey folks,

I am really excited to show you this german gasmask I recieved recently from my uncle who lives in my grandmothers parents house in The Netherlands but near Aachen Germany.

The story is: while US forces are liberating the south of the netherlands in september ‘44 2 austrian soldiers asked my grand grand dad if they can take shelter in the basement of the house till the US army pick them up. This happened and apparentely this gasmask is the only item survived in almost mint condition. This item is 100% unaltered and really amazing it’s part of my family. This is what stayed behind hope you enjoy.

Cheers

M35 Maker indentification - Help needed!

Hello fellas
This is my latest addition to my helmet collection. Unfortunately I can`t find who is the maker because the marking is not readable. The only thing I can tell is that the helmet is Heer Reissued M35 size 64 . I would appreciate if somebody tell me who is the maker. To me it looks like Quist, but I am not quite sure. Also I will be glad if you guys tell me the name written on the skirt. I cant really tell, the writing is kind of different to me :)

Best regards!

Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber - Carl Wild Zinc

Just received this lovely IAB from Carl Wild (CW).

Not rare but a harder to find maker.

It is a massive design but very high quality even though most it is likely a Mid-Late war design given it’s zinc construction.

Carl Wild of Hamburg is classified as an Independent manufacture and it is my understanding that this award is a Type 7.03 (Weber).

From what I can tell it has the first type hinge fitting (the raised base).

According to an old post from our friend Fisher it is a Design Type - Die 1 as the 1R leaf of the Die 1 has a more pronounced top, left vein branching off the center vein and it has an additional vein in the 1L leaf. The maker mark is wider across and has smaller gap between the “C” and “W”.

Would love to hear your thoughts

Info on pins for a newbie

I have zero experience with militaria and I need help. I purchased these in a jewelry lot (which is my area of experience). I’m guessing the first three are sweetheart pins (I have multiples of these). The next two are pins put on NS Meyer cards but are not marked as such (I have multiples of these). The 11th airborne pin (I have multiples of these)??? The last set are also pins put on NS Meyer card but not marked as such.

1. Are they authentic, fake, reproductions?
2. Time period?
3. Value?
4. Can I sell the NS Meyer cards seperate to collectors for their real pin? And I sell the unmarked pins seperately?

Any and all advice and information would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

MK2 grenade found at estate sale

I picked this grenade up this morning at an estate sale. It was being used as a bookend. It looked right to me and upon further investigation, I believe it to be 1942-43. It does have a coat of orangish/yellow underneath that has been painted OD green. The markings are 33, a cross or a plus, diamond shape. What do you guys think about its originality and can we learn anything from the markings? I had to spend 50 cents 115697011569711156972115697311569741156975on this, so I hope the news isn’t too bad. :)
