The attached pictures have just been taken from a listing on ebay where the seller has listed a set of scales in a wooden box as being Kriegsmarine and having been brought back to the UK. The scales were until 8/10 years ago just a plain set of weighing scales. Then unfortunately they were spiced up by a well known fabricator here in Jersey. The scales were stamped with a KM eagle and swastika, the box had the Marine Lazarett applied to it in white paint and an ink hand stamp added.
All in all a pretty poor attempt to decieve the unwary.
I last saw them for sale on a dealers stall at Stoneliegh 3 years or so ago and the dealer was 100% sure they were real. They are not and my reason for posting this is to make any one on the forum aware in case they get taken in by the blurb.
Such a shame that people do this sort of thing, we can but try to sidestep it.

I purchased this Luftwaffe Metal Breast Eagle in April 1983 from Collector’s Armoury, Inc., Alexandria, VA. The item was marked as "Luftwaffe Metal Breast Eagle W/hallmark. (Original "ASSMANN" marked). Not being an expert, I turned to the internet and found many versions of the Eagle, but nothing that matches this one exactly. The only marking I see is on the back: L/50.

Any information regarding this item would be greatly appreciated!

Hope these are of interest. Swarovski (cag) 6×30 binoculars. These are fairly early ones as the cold weather grease designation is >KF< rather than a blue colour circle or triangle. Also has quite a low serial number of 8390 . The case is in nice condition with no cracks. If any one could help with a manufacturer and date for the case it would be welcome info.

I don’t know what, other than what I stated in the title, this image is. Some kind of propaganda piece? I have no idea although I am sure the text on the back will reveal the origin of this image. It looks to be early in the rise to power of the NSDAP.
Sorry about the line, but I don’t want it copied and sold as original to some poor soul.

Hello all, I have a "beaded" M42, NS64/B3260 . The liner is pretty much the "civic helmet" liner as in my M34s, even to the pattern of tiny perforations nearly halfway around the front of the sweatband area. but the liner material is canvas, a bit stiff so it might have been treated with some stiffening agent. And the chinstrap attached directly to the liner is clear plastic. No padding inside the crown as in my M34s.
Would this more likely be an end-of-war "last-ditch" helmet for non-combat use, or something fairly standard for low-priority non-combat use?
In particular the clear plastic chinstrap makes me curious. Thanks for any info/comments. Robert Y
