Going through old military photographs of my grandfather the other day, I noticed that he was among the many soldiers who wore a skull/death’s head ring.

The original picture is only 9.5 x 7.5 cm, so unfortunately, I can’t offer a super-clear close-up, but I thought the members of this sub-forum might want to see it anyway. From his rank, shoulder strap cypher and lack of decorations, the photograph can be dated to the October 1935 to August 1937 period:

The Ratisbon’s auction has the Nachlass/Konvolut of a Ritterkreuztraeger who was in the Panzerwaffe d. Bw in the early 1960s.
Here are some of his badges from the first model monkey jacket ca. 1956 or so.

I’ve been waiting for the latest Ratisbon’s auction and its finally here, I’ve found this tunic, along with too many other things! It looks very nice and it appears to me to maybe be an earlier made tunic? I noticed the drop tail eagle and also noticed a lack of cross-stitching on the collar. Any red flags there? Thanks as always cool militaria
