I stumbled across this nice Kriegsmarine Tunic on Ratisbons. It looks original and in good condition to me, but as usual I like getting additional opinions on these uniforms; I’m not familiar with the trade badge on the sleeve as I don’t know that much about the Kriegsmarine, but I love the look of this tunic cool militaria All opinions are welcome as always!

Hi Guys and Gals!

Can I have your thoughts on this 1940 dated gas mask can - it has 3 layers of paint:
2 layers of factory gray (one looks like panzer grau and a lighter greenish-gray pea or apple green)
On top of these 2 layers, there is a hand-painted (looks like with a brush) "dirty white" / off white, almost light gray maybe due to age?
(looks oil-based, not white-wash)
A possible white (winter) camo? Looks somewhat promising…but…

It was recovered by a band of gypsy metal-scavengers (probably from a barn) here in Western/Central Hungary near the town of Mány, where intensive fighting took place in early 1945 (Operation Spring Awakening) as the German (mostly SS units) tried and failed to liberate the surrounded Budapest.

Hey guys

I have a have had this hat for about 10yrs now. It was given to me by my great grampa who got it from holland.
What I want to know is if its real. The inside rim of the hate is very delicate as is pulling away from the hat at the back.
the Eagle on the front has some wear as well. the hat feels and smells old.

Hi everyone. I posted a lot of items that I found for sale by an older gentleman on craigslist about three weeks ago and just received the items. Here is the cased EK1. What are everyones thoughts? I will be sure to post more items for review and enjoyment. I think that most of the items look good, however, I am not versed in EK’s. I don’t see a makers mark on the back of this one and it looks like "hair marks" in the black part of the EK.

Here is another one of those Quist made one piece double decal Police gladiator Luftschutz helmets with the relatively rare grey backed Police Adler decal. *It is complete with liner and chin strap affixed with 3 split pins. *The leather has a few names inked on it, and has a "55" size stamp and a rectangular stamp that I think is one of those Luftschutz stamps that would have had*a flying eagle centered in it that appears to have worn off over time. *These Police Adler decals seem almost always to be paired with the same Party shield as is on this helmet, and are, to my knowledge, almost never seen on other shell types. *I actually have a grey droop bill reverse double decal Police helmet with the same decal set, and I have read on one of the forums*that there is a beaded Luftshutz shell with the same decal set, but I don’t know of other such examples. *All of the gladiator examples that I have seen are neck stamped on the apron "RL2-39/21", indicating that they were made by Quist. *The decals have some wear, but I am happy that I finally picked one up in any condition. *Hope you like it. *Jim*G.
