Just picked this up. Not mint for sure and has some heavy zinc pest around the eagles head and wings. But after a soft toothbrush and a Vaseline bath it cleaned up ok and is now stabilized.

Overall, it’s a decent Navy example with gold wash and blue fabric. This finishes off my campaign shield collection (Krim, Narvik, Kuban, Demjansk)

I think it is a Deumer but happy to stand corrected.

A lot of the gold wash remaining but hard to see in the photos. I’ve played with the contrast of one photo to show remains of the gold wash…much of which is not visible to the naked eye.

Just got this come my way so thought I’d share the pictures as, with apologies, I don’t get on this side of the forum often……wkc made with dark orange handle, hammered scabbard and sailing ship etching on the blade.

Hopefully it’s a good one :confused:

Hi guys could someone give me the heads up, ive had a look around various threads etc, the weave does not look right and the rear of the tabs appear be all cloth finish so i am thinking repo.

Here are some close up guys. The quality looks very good to me compared with others in previous posts. Look at the enamel work, and sodering. I am going to do more reading on threads after lunch, but wanted to get the pictures up to view. Also, I will look for evidence that it existed in the first place. One good sign is that it came in the lot from the guy who has had everything for 50+ years. Everything else has showed good so far.
