Need help! Displaying medals

Hi all

As you may know I brought a group of WW2 medals today. They seem attached to a long pin with thread but it hides the clasps on the Atlantic and Burma star. I want to display them nicely, do people think taking them off the pin and putting in a frame or similar is the right thing to do?

Thanks.

David

Here is my stirnpanzer that i acquired today, its sounds like a bell when i tap it. The sound, weight, and the way the strap is attached (the nails) make me believe it is orginal. No stamps, but it is absolutely sure that not all were stamped.

Hitler signed postcard

Hello to everyone,

I know what you’re thinking : "Sigh, once more does someone ask about Hitler signature, even if that can hardly be authentified online".
I’m aware of this problem but to amass nonetheless opinions of eagle-eyed veterans of collecting still appears relevant to me.

This postcard was recently found in a photo album in Germany, according to the seller. The signature seems to have faded as time flew, which could be a good sign of historicity. Uncertainty remains anyway.
Would you be so kind as to help me on that costly one ?

Beginning of my collection

Hi All

Just thought I would post my first purchases to the site for your perusal.

So my first purchase was this 30 Corps Medallion a few weeks ago.

11896711189670

And then today I brought this group of medals. They are for a Lieutenant F E Thompson RNVR and are the 1939-1945 star, the war medal, the Atlantic star with France and Germany clasp and the Burma star with Pacific star.

1189672
And lastly a Korea Medal for 22388418 Spr J B D Masheter RE, which I think makes him a sapper in the royal engineer corps.

Hope you like. Any comments most welcome.

Hi everyone

Hello,
I’ve found some old things in my attic and came across this messageboard. Been interested in the WW2 relics for a long time, but didn’t know of this page’s existance. Didn’t hesitate to register too long. Can’t wait to explore the threads and hopefully, someone could help me out with the things I’ve found.

Have a great day everyone

Greetings to everyone !

Finally took the plunge by registering to this forum, that I’ve been for more than year periodically rummaging through.
Let’s be honest : I’m mostly going to ask for help more than offering some myself, as I am rather neophyte, and besides non-native english speaker (wordreference is my crutch).
Hopefully will you accept me among this friendly and knowleadgeable community.
Thank you !
