Acquired this pretty mint set today.
A fix bale M1 stamped 591A with a nice MSA liner (didn’t have that one yet) and a nice net to top things off. Net is in a light OD
Found his place in the showcase.
Living in Belgium, I have to settle for an airsoft Colt 1911 A1 instead of the real deal unfortunately. But we played it hard and found myself a WW2 Commemorative limited edition
( 1000 pcs worldwide)

Hi everyone, last Sunday I was clearing out my grandfather’s stuff and came across this knife in a barrel of rusty tools. It was covered in rust and the sheath had paint spilled on it. Unfortunately the leather broke upon attempting to open it due to age. Having done some research it would appear this is a German WW1 trench knife, it has very similar characteristics however doesn’t have any makers mark. What are your opinions in this? My dad remembers playing with it when he was a boy(he says it made a good throwing knife!) and that it came from his grandmother’s garage. I’m in the UK so don’t know how it ended up over here but I know her father possibly fought in WW1 though it is unconfirmed. I cleaned it up with a bit of wire wool and oiled it, probably not the best thing to do but the rust was very bad. It has a sort of logo on the button as can be seen in the photo. So could anyone tell me anything more about this knife? Thanks,

Hello,
I got these collar tabs and shoulder boards from somebody, and have no idea as to they’re authenticity. I was wondering how to tell, I know on previous fake collar tabs, the miniature squares on the buckham were too large, however that’d not the case here. Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated. I also notice that the yellows between tabs to boards are slightly different. Thanks.

Hi chaps , i received my rare Deutsches Jungvolk belt and buckle today along with a drum hanger apparently belonging together. I must admit i was quite taken aback on how tiny the belt strap and buckle were , i thought the child that wore this must have been younger than 10 years old surely. And he carried a drum aswell , i felt pretty emotional thinking about it. It couldn’t have been easy for the poor lad. Great bit of history in the post.

Hello friends, For those interested in field phones here are two rarely encountered replacement parts for the handsets. A handset included a Mikrophon (mic element) and Hörmuschel (ear piece element). Two main companies manufacturing them are depicted here - De Te We (Deutsche Telephonewerke u. Kabelindustrie) and Siemens. The stylized Siemens symbol is an S over A which is the Siemens Apparate und Maschinenbau logo. Despite the fact that thousands of phones were issued, the replacement parts are hard to locate. As a military issue item, each piece carries a Waffenamt stamp. The green cross indicates these are for field phones produced during war time when the impedance was changed from the earlier model. A green stripe was added to the writing tab on the lid of the field phone were notes could be made using a grease pencil. NH
