I would like to show you this early BeVo NSDAP armband that I recently purchased. It is in really good condition, close to mint. Retains original red color.
It is my understanding these armbands were introduced in the middle 1920’s and it were largely phased out by 1930. Could anyone confirm this?
I hope you like it as much as I do!
Looking forward to your replies cool militaria
Best regards,
MG.
It is a Scots Guards cap badge for Colour Sgts, Sgts and musicians worn on the FS cap and the paggri in tropical dress.
I am not totally sure of the period as I picked it up in the late ’70s with no provenance but I believe it to be WWI or earlier.
It is not marked in any way but the white metal displays all the characteristics of silver. The cenre boss which is renoveable is brass / gilding metal.
It differes from the Warrant Officers badge which was all silver and the Commissioned Officers badge which was also silver but the star was a slightly different shape.
It doesn’t show in the picture but there is a green background to the thistle.
Regards
Mark

It was in a very dirty state when I got it but a wipe down has cleaned it up very well. It has an officers chinstrap and GS buttons and from the widely spaced badge holes it was probably for the RA.
