Question Dogtag identification: period and country?

Hi,

i just received a lot of items and, among them, was this dogtag that looks like to be french?!?
Can anyone help me identifying if it is french or what? Which period? Between wars or WWII?
Any info available of the original owner (Rank, Battles, Military Records, History….) would be very apreciated.
Best regards

Need help! Polish Soldier dogtags

Hi,
i just found on a antique store these polish dogtags.
I believe they belonged to Wilhelm Smolczyk, a Polish Army Soldier, Catolic, registration number 220, born in 1925, who served in Italy on the 2nd Corps. I would like to know if all the info are right and if there is someone that can ad more about this military record/history.
Best regards

Why does this seem improper?

Can’t help but thinking this is a tarted up tunic, especially with some American ribbons being on there, but is there more wrong?
It is a flea - bay special;

Christmas in summer.

Not all the items fit in one category here but since it’s predominantly uniforms…

Just got in a large box from the auction house. Feel like a kid on Christmas morning. :p

Approve me Hello From Oklahoma

Hey there! I’m Jordan and I’m a blacksmith/welder from Oklahoma. Finally got around to posting an introduction. Originally I joined because I was interested primarily in collecting weapons, and some people from the sword forums I’m a member of are also members here. Still am interested in the weapons, of course, but I’ve recently taken an interest in just general WW2 things too and I’m looking at starting a small collection. Not quite sure what I’m most interested in collecting, but I have a neat local antique store that has a lot of cool WW2 memorabilia and I’m hoping to find out more about some of it.

Hope I’ll see y’all around!

Fortunes Of War Militaria Site Update: 5-29-18

Fortunes Of War Militaria updated its site today by adding a number of terrific senninbari belts: one with unit designation, another with the protective mantra, "Samuhara" written across its front and back. This same belt has a good luck coin sewn inside it, as well as good luck beans, and an ofuda filled charm pouch; also added was a rarer, yellow senninbari with two 5-sen good luck coins sewn to its front. Finally, a beautifully made senninriki vest was added to the site. Thank you for having a look! Best, Michael

Approve me Hello From London

Hi, I’m a film maker from London with an interest in military history.

I thought I’d sign up as I’m interested in maybe starting a collection. I have a very small collection of shrapnel, perspex and a navigators ruler from a downed Bristol Blenheim bomber I found with a metal detector when I was much younger but would love to acquire some more substantial pieces.

I also have in my Possession a WW2 Japanese ‘Good Luck’ flag my great-grandfather took during his time in Burma that I would like to share with members to see if anyone might be able to tell me more about its origins.

Looking forward to being part of the community!
