At first, I thought it was a tropical tunic, but when I checked my reference it said all tropical tunics had the buttoned flap beneath the open armpit.
This tunic just has the open armpit, and the belt/sword strap.
I could not find an example of this tunic in Hewitt’s book.
It is very well worn, and lightweight, with extensive repairs to the collar area in particular.
The button on the strap appears to be a replacement.
Hoping someone may be able to help with an id.
Any info offered would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Russ
