Just thought I would share this piece with you guys. A good friend of mine gave this to me last week as a birthday present. A large unissued swastika center that was never sown to a banner. Its a cool piece, but measuring right at 30 inches…. I will have to find a creative way to display it.

This nice cap has also come up for auction in addition to the grey SS cap I posted on a separate thread. The Danziger skull and eagle are authentic but the rest of the cap is above my pay grade. I also like the look of Edelweiss badge but I’m not sure of it’s significance on this type of cap. Please enlighten me. Thanks, Al.

This nice gray SS cap has come up for auction and I thought I’d post it for review. While I have become more adept at authenticating the totenkopf insignia, the cap itself requires more knowledge and experience than I possess. The cap appears correct to me but I’d like opinions from the real connoisseurs. Thank you, Al

I want to know if it is real or not because im not too familiar with RZM marks

This is a really nice site on Soviet visors covering 1943-1991.
As you can see, there also was a wide variety of Soviet organisations that were uniformed.

Like the East German visors, the later ones are low-quality (plastic visors and vinyl sweatbands), but the earlier ones are better quality.
The General/Marshall parade visors are of the highest quality (even up to 1991), and feature direct-embroidered bullion with patent leather visors.
(& I agree, from an aesthetic perspective, they can’t touch the TR visors).

Below I have an RAD dagger I recently picked up, the blade appears to be in very nice condition with some interesting issue markings near the handle. One thing that attracted me was the glossy black scabbard paint that was described by the seller as “original”, although in very good shape I can see the paint bleeds over to the metal scabbard fittings. Other than that the paint resembles another dagger I have which I am certain is original. I would very much appreciate any feedback.
