Medical injury tag

Hi Guys, I just picked up this little slice of history – an original “filled out” medical attachment tag, related to a Munich citizen who was injured during an allied air raid. Trouble with that claim by the seller is …
1) There was no allied raid on Munich in early July
2) The tag mentions “grenade shrapnel”

I wonder how he got injured then??

Anyway, to the tag itself….. the title is "Tag for injured"

( note how the edges are perforated to allow 1, 2 or no stripes showing )
Immediate transport - two red stripes
Not Urgent – one red stripe
Walking – no red stripe

The penciled entries on the front read as follows:

Name: Hans Weber
Wohnort (Residence ): Munich
Strasse (Street ): Schelling Street
Verletzung (Injury ): Grenade shrapnel on left thigh
Erhielt an starkwirkenden Arzneien (Received strong drugs ) Morphine 0.5 at 11:40 am

The entries on the reverse read:

Abbildung durch abschnürbinde oder dreieckstuch ( Tying by triangular cloth: ) at 11:40 am
Wo? ( Where? ): Hospital
Sonstige hilfeleistungen (Other assistance services ): Operation preparations
Name of doctor: Doctor Klaus
Issued on 4th July 1944

I’m sure my translation skills are lacking - please forgive me..:D

Nothing mind-blowing but just a nice bit of “collection candy” that amazes me that it has survived…..
Cheers, Dan

I was pleasantly surprised to see the soldier’s name written on the yoke. Looks like Heinrich Kramer to me. Hard to make out. Suppose it could be Herman. Anyway a nice been there pair and inner straps are maker marked Moritz Stecher Freiberg 1941.

Will post more when I am done playing soldier dress up.

Heer Artillery Visor - Faux Crusher

So the visor that Marty posted for authentication has arrived on my doorstep today.

Was going to add these photos to the original thread but since it was in the "authentication forum" I felt it needed it’s own thread

http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/cap-au…-visor-703099/

Hope you all enjoy it. I love the shape! One of my new favorites!

This visor has a few unique characteristics.

1) Cotton Embroidered Insignia
2) No chinstrap (i.e. they were never there, not removed)
3) Not as common grey underside of brim
4) Made to look like a Crusher but is not

Lining and sweatband give the appearance that it is in bad shape but in reality it is just cosmetic and quite solid. It just shows that this visor was well used in the field. Exterior is in mint condition with the minor exception of some dirt on the insignia. Too bad the sweat shield is long gone. Would have been nice to know the maker.
