Allegro (polish ebay). Is there a catch?

Ok like all of us on this site. Searching for new sources of militaria is an interesting journey. I have seen a few threads now where somebody has a recommended the polish site allegro, and that it has very cheap prices. I had look and, well damn either something is off with the exchange rate but things do seem rather cheap.

Whats the catch? Do they only sell within poland? I am not gonna go out a limb assume it’s all a scam since that seems a bit harsh. I have been looking at flak relics and saw the site had some.

So what do you guys think? Have you ordered from allegro before? Is it trustworthy?
I am wondering if its worth any hassle.

Thanks for the help.

Hello

Thank you for adding me to your group. I am interested in history and the preservation of it as well. I used to do War Between the States re-enactments and did some minor collecting of that era. We used to do a full horse drawn artillery piece, both Union and Confederate. We had a 10 Lb Parrot rifle reproduction with Cassion and limber. I am starting to become more interested in WWI and WWII memorabilia. My youngest children are in high school ROTC and this year is the 100th Anniversary of the end of WWI. They are looking for memoribilia to show on Veterans Day. They will be making paper poppies for the entire school and more for veterans who come to the ceremony. The poppies will be used to add veterans names and hang on the school wall through the rest of the year. I joined this site to gain more knowledge about artifacts that I have and may come across to display during their ceremony.

SA Wehrabzeichen für Kriegsversehrte Redo

Well, the collection is slow to fill up this year as I prefer to buy direct from the Vet family but what items that have come along are quite tidy pieces.

Below for your consideration is a bronze SA War wounded sports badge.

This one is stamped up on the rear for the Redo firm. From what I can gather this is one of the two recognised manufacturers of this award the other being Deschler.

Opinions and comments are welcome

Doug
