Faintly dated 1943, it has no leather band and is made from soft dark blue wool. Its not shaped like the black ARP berets, its floppy, almost a female type beret in material but arrow stamped and made by British basque. Any ideas?

I’ve never seen such pins before. They are covered with some silver layer (not a paint). Could they be originally made like this? they are marked: B&C 1943. What kind of helmet could they be attached to? I thought to remove this silver layer, add some rust and attach them to one of my semi-relic m42. What do you think?

Hi,

I got some indenfication problems with a helmet I hope some of you guys can help me with.

It is about this helmet shown in the pictures. The owner tells me it is a m35 helmet which was worn by german soldiers who ride on motorcycles. This should be the reason why it have this bead around the base of the dome. - To make sure the motorcycle glasses would fit better on the helmet.

To me it looks a litle like a m35 luftshulz combat helmet but dosen’t they used to be dark blue with a decal in front?

Do any one know exactly what kind of helmet it is?

Just brought this home today, from local scrap gold place, its not gold, but at a glance, looks like it is, you can peel back the gold, its like heavy tin foil, gold and copper under it, there are several parts broken off, and you can see a waxy material, that is like a hard wax, and it smells real bad, in fact i think i am going to throw it out, has anyone ever seen anything like it….i cant get the stink out of my nose…:mad:Attachment 323447Attachment 323448Attachment 323449Attachment 323450
