Hiya, here is another group from my collection to an ATS girl. W/241073 Pte. Peggy Mildred Scott. She served as a Pay clerk.
It includes her medals, the Defence Medal and War Medal 1939-1945, her AB64 Paybook, Discharge papers, autographs, her photo and a private purchase gilt washed cap badge.

Medal for Combat Merit
Hi Guys, here is one from my collection. I am very fond of this particular medal due to the uncleaned patina and wartime brass suspension.
It is one awarded for Long Service in 1944, going by the serial number, 1625652.

My first pop video: Soldiers Song
Hi Guys, well not actually me as such. I cannot play a single note!
But a few weeks ago I was contacted to be technical advisor for a music video shoot. The band, Julian Tomas & Friends play smooth jazz and are fairly local to me.
The band play a lot of gigs in the Ukraine, so the song was decided to have a WW2 (Great Patriotic War) theme.
I provided all of the Soviet kit and weapons from my collection. Lead singer Julian wears my uniform.
The German group were my good friends from GD Reccon.
The filming with "GD" took place over a Saturday night stating at 5.30pm and ending at 3.30am! I was there for the filming on the Monday and this took from 9.30am and we did not pack up untill 10pm. So you can see how long this kind of thing takes.
I am really happy with the finished results: the guys looked nice and dirty and dusty.

Forget about Ka-Bar. Cattaraugus 225 Q all the way.
Most people know of the Ka-Bar, but Im partial to the Cattaraugus, as I never cared much for the spindly cross guard of most generic WWII Ka-Bars. Just a personal preference of course.
Cattaraugus made quality knives for decades and this mass-produced utility/fighter is no exception.
Stacked leather washer grip still holds up nicely and the thick blade is in fine shape.
I found it in very dirty condition and sans sheath for next to nothing at a gun show. It cleaned up very nicely and is in fine condition overall. I just brushed off the grime and lightly went at some surface rust spots with a brass pad. Then oiled the blade lightly. Apart from that, Ill leave it as is.
