Hi, I found this recently on a former British island with my metal detector. It has some interesting markings on the headstamp and I’m not sure if it is a blank or whether it was intended to be used for launching a grenade. The length is approximately 2-3/16" and the diameter of the base is approximately 1/2". I can see an "R", "/|\" (type design), and an "L" at 12, 1:30, and 3 o’clock. A "C" or an omega at 9 o’clock. And the Roman numerals "IV" at 6 o’clock.Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Following up on Richie’s friends posting of those lovely early pieces of headgear, here is my one and only. This is a pre-RZM (circa 1933) HJ Leader visor for a Bannfuhrer, as signified by the white piping around the crown.
I picked up this dagger @ a local antique store about a year ago (not the type of thing I normally come across) I havn’t been able to find out anything on it. There are no markings on it that I can find ( mabey on the base of the blade but looks like rust pits now) The parts are brass and the handle is made of bone. Looks like it had been buried for a while. It measures aprox. 46cm overall and the blade is 31 cm. anybody have info.- authentic, fake, new, old…?
