Important! Found a collar tab button

Hello there,

On our last digging tour, we found this button. It looks like it comes from a collar tab or shoulder board. Anyone have some info on this little item. We had a little discussion about it and one guy think it’s from a SS tab. What is to say about that?

Regards, Lars

Question Big rocket found on Eastern Front

Hello guys,

I just found this interesting piece of ordnance on the Eastern Front a few days ago. The question is what is it? One user suggests it’s from the sdkfz 251 halftrack. I think it look a little too big though. Pic can be seen on page 6 in my digging thread of the sdkfz 251 halftrack with rockets.

Here it is. Sorry i forgot a to put something in for size comparison.

by: gibsonbluemoon

Description: For sale is an M40 Q66. This appears to have been unissued. The liner is in fantastic shape. The liner size is 58. I can’t find a date stamp on the liner band. It appears that another helmet was stacked on top of it for a period of time. The lot number is 11408. Liner pins are tight. It has some minor surface rust. This M40 is untouched and has not been cleaned. It was picked up at a barn sale in Vermont.

SS regalia ca. 1978

I include here an extract from Manion’s catalog ca. 1978 to make clear the former regime in collecting such regalia. Two of these items are today my property. Attachment 343306Attachment 343307 That is, the officer’s black coat (1278), and the enlisted black cap (1237). The officer’s black cap was mine in the years 1978-1981, but I traded it to Roger Bender and then it went onward to another known collector.
The black officer’s coat had a reserve of USD1500 at the time, which was a fortune.Attachment 343308
