Hello all. I’m wondering if anyone has any info about the black woolen hat that sailors of Regia Marina used to wear especially on decks, works etc. I would like to know the official italian name of it, if anyone has any up for sale..

Last week RAF Metheringham in Lincolnshire received a new addition to its visitors centre.

I was privileged to be able to crawl all over even though the museum is closed until the Spring!! The wings and tail plane were not even fixed on I was that quick

RAF Metheringham was a WW2 Lancaster airfield however during D-Day Dakota’s landed there with wounded as Nocton Hall military hospital was close by.

I am on the hunt for information on ex RAF serviceman ‘Errington’. Service number 4046959? Coat dated 1948 - Item acquired in the north of England ( Northumberland / Tyne & Wear / County Durham ) region - should that help the search.
