Found this helmet on my local CL for a small $450:shok_yikes:
His add says - "German M40 Wehrmacht single decal re-issued helmet large size E.F. 66 shell"

Except there’s only one thing…

What the deuce does Re-Issued mean??:confused:

Picked this up not knowing what it was, finally found some info on it, something to do with a red lighted signal relay of some sort (latter version of Indian smoke signals ;-), it was hard to see for sure with the naked eye so they gave the guys these tiny monoculars to use. Optics are still impressively good after nearly 100years!

They also bolted these to things, the signal lights themselves (?). This one does not have mounting holes, was meant to be handheld unless it was strapped down, the missing paint may be where a strap went across it.

Hello, purchased a winter coat and noticed that instead of a regular coloured raindrop pattern it appears to be lighter with splodges that show on both sides of the fabric. I’ve looked at it but cannot imagine it would be anymore effective than the standard pattern, any opinions?

Hi folks, I’ve been after one of these nice "Ostmedailles" for a while now, The main criteria being that it had to have retained a fair percentage of its original finnish and would be nicely ring stamped, well this one by Karl Wurster popped up on a Brit website for what i consider to be a fair price and as they say "all comes to he who waits"and it is now minecool militaria i believe it to be a goodun but as always i look forward to opinions good or bad. Hello,

This one came in today. An uncleaned Prussian Paymaster helmet plus a DRP marked cloth field cover.

The family I bought this from lived in Germany in the 1950’s and acquired it there.

Missing one officer star from the spike base. The silver fittings haven’t been cleaned for decades, they have a heavy dark patina on them.

It’s been a very lucky year for me finding helmets from families.

Hey Gents,

I’m pretty confident in this tunic but being new to the game I am seeking help from the Masters.

Overall condition is near mint, some wear on the buttons. The Panzergrenadier shoulder boards were added post war. The eagle is hand sewn on the tunic, I assume postwar and the owner and I discussed this. The collar tabs appear to be machine sewn and original to the tunic.

I think this would be a very nice step in my collection and mannequin display.

I can get more photos as required.
