Army dagger - how to clean the blade?

Hello!

I’m new to collecting militaria and to this forum.

Can this blade be restored by using semicrome or some other similar product?
Or maybe an oxalic bath?

In the right light the spots appear orange/brown. I’d hate for it to rust any more.

I hope someone will give me some good advice on the matter as to what is the best way to clean this blade.

Ss cloth eagle opinions please…

Hi All. I have had this adler in my collection for a fair few years now. My question…is it original as I have never been sure about it.
Thanks in advance
Jason

M1 Front seam swivel bale - Vet signed

Hey guys,
I don’t usually collect US militaria but I decided to take a chance on this WW2 M1 front seam swivel bale. It is a former movie prop so the shell is original but the paint and decals are post war. What attracted me to this helmet was the vetran signatures. I can only make out two. Fred Bahlau and Jake McNiece. I have no way of telling if they are original, but I thought it was worth a chance! At worst I have a nice WW2 M1 shell.
Sorry about the photo quality, its quite difficult to get a clear photo of the signatures
Let me know what you think! cool militaria

Important! French M1897 WW1 Artillery Tunic?

Hello everyone,

I have the opportunity to buy this french artillery tunic. the current owner is not to sure what model it is. Can’t find any history on the 19th artillery.

I am a ww1 collector and would love to have this in my collection, if its ww1 era. I know the french didn’t change their uniforms much from the 1870’s until 1915 or so I am unable to tell. to me it looks like the "Tunique Modele 1897" but then google images isn’t always good for comparison pictures.

And possible info on this would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.
