Hello guys,

A buddy of mine has asked my opinion on the following GAB. I don’t own any and was wondering what the general opinion was on this one. He only sent me the one, front veiw, picture so I don’t know how much info anyone can give me but l figure someone could give me some information possibly.

My assumption is that it is a late war zinc, if it is real that is, but that would be just a total guess on my part. I can’t tell if it is just the photo or not, but the arms of the swastika don’t appear to be totally simetrical.

So does anyone have a little info for me?

Now I know Ralph will be on my ass for not using the Proper Deutscher Terminologie for this request/medal but I hope he will find some kindness in his heart for my predicament.

My best friend (Grew up with,banged the same girls ,drank from the same quart of beer , Keg parties buddy and went to Marine corp boot camp and served with) has had a 12 year WH service medal that his uncle took from a German soldier during the Battle of the Bulge Stolen. This Gent is my best friend, My Brother during the strife of life who I have sacrificed my life to save his ass without a second thought on numerous occasion. Its what we do for our Brothers!

Now we know how serious I am for my buddy Bob. I have one and I know it would not replace the one his uncle took as war booty but I would like to know, Did this award come boxed and does anybody out there know where I could find a box or a boxed set???????

Hello, all, again!

I saw this helmet on a nice site, and I was pondering if it was worth it to go through the purchase. It’s priced at $465, although the inner workings of it seems to be all damaged, without a chinstrap, and with surface rust. I believe $300 is a fair price. What do you think?

I’d really like a chinstrap, and inner band, would it be possible to refit another one in there, and add a chinstrap?

My Grandpa has had this for quite some time. Is it even possible that casualties received this disk in the streets for identification later? That’s my only guess. On to the experts!
