for sale Soldbuch - KIA 1945 Infantry Officer. Nice Photo

by: hucks216

Description: A lovely ‘been there’ Soldbuch for an infantry officer who served in the Heer from pre-war. It is packed with entries.
Promoted to Leutnant in 1943, he served in a number of Infantry units including Inf.Rgt 169, Inf.Rgt 510, Inf.Rgt 681 and Inf.Rgt 436. His final assignment was to an Army Group B officer ‘pool’ but he was killed in the Ruhr Pocket on 4th April 1945. He is listed in the Volksbund database.
He was decorated with 6 combat awards - EK II & I, Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, Wound Badges in Black & Silver and the Krimschild. The lovely photo in the Soldbuch shows the EK I and the corner of the Krimschild can just be seen on the sleeve. Photo also shows the officer’s unit cyphers on the shoulder board.
All pages present and condition is shown in photos.
Shipping & Paypal fees included in the price.

Walther P38 byf 43 Pistol

A pistol added to my collectors licence last year-it’s a reasonably good example of the iconic weapon, all matching serial numbers and still live (though I won’t be shooting it). Made by Mauser Oberndorf 1943 and now matched with a gcx 1942 hard shell holster. The finish of the pistol was still to a high standard at that stage, certainly compared to my late war ‘cyq’ example!

Polish wz.24 Gasmask with Canister

Here is my Polish wz.24 gas mask (aka RCS after the names of the French designers - Robert, Saunier and Cantot), which was a Polish licence made and modified version of French A.R.S. 1917 (Appareil Respiratoire Special) gas mask. The mask was issued to the army, but with introduction of wz.32 mask, it was reissued to civil defence - mainly Ligi Obrony Przeciwlotniczej i Przeciwgazowej (LOPP) - Anti-Aircraft and Anti-Gas Defence League. My mask is stamped LOPP, being issued to civil defence as it was made in 1932 by W.W.S.P. – Wojskowa Wytwórnia Sprzętu Przeciwgazowego (stamped). It is size S - sredni - medium. The condition is average as the rubber hardened and lenses fell out along with the rubber between them. I reattached them and added piece of rubber to complete the mask for display. The canister is original shorter (earlier - pre 1932) 20cm one and has original instruction sheet inside the lid (with inspection stamp from 1935 and 1937). The top of the lid has PCK - Polish Red Cross stamp. It is missing the main strap but short strap is present. The filter is was also made by W.W.S.P in 1930. Not the best condition but interesting set nevertheless.
