Hello folks. I was hoping I might get some opinions on this ike jacket. I’m checking on any provenance the seller might have with it, but I wanted to see if anyone spots anything out of the ordinary that I might be missing. Everything looks period to me, though I wish I could find military records or information to tie the soldier in with something we’re seeing here. The name on the private purchase label isn’t very clear though, so at this point I have to go by what we can see, and maybe even assume the bars and insignia were added at some point. The seller wants $375, which seems way overpriced to me, but is quite open to any offers and is having a hard time moving it at that price as you can imagine, so he’s motivated.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

that is my new find in local gun show this weekend it is 1889 danish bayonet with out any s/n # .just one marking for danish proof marks.and its been converted in to fighting knife probably ww1 / ww2 ,look like this knife been in some action in the past. i just like to get some information/or any idea way there is no s/n # on the knife.

Here is a nice JFS Costal Artillery buckle I picked up late last year. Topical color for this company and only the Eagle M mark makes it a Costal Artillery buckle.

Hi all.

I recently acquired a vet captured lot that includes some really nice pieces, including this ammo pouch labelled with the soldier’s name, division and regiment info (it also includes the belt, buckle and two utility loops that it was attached to - not shown in photos). The label is hard to read in the photos, but it reads…

My questions are:

1. Is there any way to research this soldier based on this data?
2. How is his unit info supposed to read exactly? Is it "5th Panzer Division, Regiment 1"?
