Description: Hello all,
Here’s your chance to pick up a stunning Luftwaffe flak badge with real combat wear to it. Loaded with patina and a very early example. The detail on this thing is exquisite. As can be seen in the photos, the pin & badge are slightly bent. In my opinion the variations in pieces that went through a World War give these badges some real character. A hard to find maker and priced right!

Uncrating and Field Assembly of the P-47 Thunderbolt This truly remarkable step-by-step training film shows how a ground support crew of fifty men could assemble a P-47 in a field using nothing more than muscle, unpowered hand tools, and pieces of the shipping crate it came in. We’re talking nothing more than hammers, wrenches and bicycle pumps!

The 362nd Fighter Group On the prowl over Germany Exclusive! Select 362nd Fighter Group P-47 Thunderbolt fighter/bombers were specially equipped with extra color movie cameras to capture thrilling ground and air attacks as they happened. The result is unique "from the cockpit" views putting you in the middle of attacks on tanks, airfields, trucks, rail yards, bridges, trains, fighters, and more.
Ditch at Sea and Live in a Boeing B-17 Ditching in water was a fact of life for stricken aircraft in World War 2, from the frozen white tops of the North Sea to the Shark infested waters of the South Pacific. Lt. Reynolds, played by veteran actor Arthur Kennedy (Lawrence of Arabia), is copilot on a B-17 that ditches at sea. He’s survives by pure luck, but the rest of the crew is lost due to a lack of preparation. When he gets his own ship, Reynolds vows his crew is thoroughly trained in B-17 ditching. He gives them the straight dope, step by step.
Sucker Bait NEW! German Spies in the USA! Loose lips sink ships, was a warning seen everywhere during World War 2 in America. In this highly dramatic training film, starring Richard Carlson with Donna Reed, Barry Nelson and Esther Williams, unfortunately that becomes all too true. A riveting 1940s "Film Noir" style drama.
Avoiding & Controlling Spins and Stalls in World War 2 Aircraft Many deaths n World War 2 aircraft were actually caused by pilot error, rather than enemy fire. No doubt many of your have heard of the release of Wojciech Stelas latest tome in his series, Volume 5 Part 1, devoted to the Order of the Virtuti Militari produced during the interwar period of the Polish 2nd Republic. A (hopefully) in depth study of the decoration holding the greatest interest for Polish 2nd republic militaria collectors is long overdue and much needed.
Based on the few images of the books contents available on the web, it seems not surprisingly to follow along the lines of his other books. Essentially images gleaned from auctions and collections accompanied by brief comments. Of course, were all hoping for a thorough study along the lines of that given to the Cross of Merit by Zbigniew Krotke. That effort is easily the best for any Polish decoration and sets the bar for all following collector references to meet. The VM is certainly deserving of such treatment.
Ive ordered my copy, which seems to have taken the scenic route in its journey to my bookshelf. Ahead of diving into its pages I am interested in hearing how many of you have a copy and your thoughts. Does it live up to expectations? What new information did you find most interesting? Overall are pleased, or disappointed?
Regards,
Tony
