Help ID, authenticity of Samuri Scabbard

Hi. I recently found a,suspected WW2 Era Japanese Army Samuri Scabbard. The person I got it from claimed to getting the Samuri sword and scabbard from a WW2 Vet. He stated that the sword and scabbard was caked in casmoline and the Scabbord still has that smell on the inside. For some reason, this person canabalized the sword for parts but was just getting rid of the scabbard. I have been trying to search the forum for similar scabbards and hardware.
If I can get any input as to this scabbard s authenticity and identification, it would be greatly appreciated.

Need help! Unidentified wallet

I have just purchased a mixed lot of kit off eBay, and amongst the items I was really after there was also this unidentified wallett. I was wondering if anyone could help identify it, I initially thought it might be an anti gas wallett, but all the images I can find show something much more sophisticated so I am a bit stumped. I was wondering if it might be a bazaar made item, but for what I have no idea. When it arrives form the seller I will take measurements and see what if anything might fit in…in the meantime I just have this photograph to go off:

VSM Shell - Assisance to identify origin / history please

Hi all,

I need assistance please to identify this piece.

I can make out VSM stamp (VSM = Vickers, Son and Maxim) but no caliber or date that I can use to find out a bit more about it. Any insights or advice on where to look would be great!

Thank you in advance
