I picked this one up recently. I’ve been trying to make sense of the label inside with some success after referring to the posts here and Nick’s guide on WAF. But I still don’t understand a few parts of it. First, photos:

Here’s what I’ve got so far.
入籍番号Entry Registry Number 舞一補三九三六 Maizuru 1st Reserve 3936 (overlooked on the label and added off to the side on inside of cap) 水 (水兵) sailor
Nick’s article mentions that officers should have a 5 digit number. As the owner was called up from reserve perhaps he started off in the enlisted ranks.

寸法夂 Size ? (not sure what 夂 adds to 寸法)

Hi gents, this is my first post over here so I hope you guys can help me.I’ve been offered thisn bayo for free but I don’t know if it is for a sks or akm or a Type 44 carbine? These are the only photos I have. Thank you in advance. Bill.:confused:

Some photos from my personal collection. It shows women from a labor camp, I don’t have much information about these pictures. I just know it’s probably in Bulgaria around 1942. I only know this because the photos was in an album with other photos. These were took in Sofia and other places in Bulgaria. I only bought the pictures from the camp, but it’s maybe somewhere else in the Balkans.

It would be great if some of you guys have any other information !

I picked this up in an auction lot. It totally looks like a early brass anchor helmet, is not magnetic and is dull/flat nickel plated. The only thing different is that the bendable tabs are cut at a slant, rather then squared off like my brass ones.

I’ve never owned one but a friend has one (but his nickel plating is half gone on the front of it). His also has the "slant cut" on the back tabs.

While researching this forum I came across Nicks article on the history of the development of the Army Type 90 and he has this photo of a nickel plated anchor on a IJN Model 1922 Cherry Blossom helmet!

Here is one more photo of one showing some field wear which was painted over at some point.

My question is: Do any other collectors have one like this or one that might have even come on a IJN helmet? If so does yours also have the slant cut on the backside? PLEASE POST SOME PHOTOS IF YOU HAVE ONE - I would love to know more about these and when these stopped being issued with IJN helmets.
