1936 Ring

Hi guys im new here but I have a ring I came across from my grandparents I am trying to find out if it is fake or not and just the general history of it at least who the soldier was where they were stuff like that and maybe sell the ring if I can figure out a way to authenticate it and what not . The name on it is really hard to make out but I can try and get pictures taken and posted. I think the name is J Mateu or Matau the date is also really strange its 03281936 any help would be appreciated I doubt it is the real deal still it would be neat to at least figure out the history behind it.

Member Classifications

Just another odd question-as usual. I was wondering-just how many Member Classifications are there? I noted a new one I hadn’t seen before today-a purple colored "founder". So far, this is what I’ve seen:

Administrator and Tech Admin (in olive green)
Moderator (in bright green)
Super Moderator (in pale blue)
Member (in white)
Gold Club Member (in pink)
Life Member (in purple)
Founder (in purple)
Sponsor (in gold)
In Memorium Member (in pink)
Resigned (in white)
Banned (in white)

Am I missing any? I Thought that I had seen a "Retired", but am unable to relocate it at the moment. Also-another odd question….about the "green boxes" beneath the member names…do they ever go about 11 in number? I noticed that even Ade is apparently mired at 11.

Deutsches reichspatent: Significance of the term

I have a question concerning the significance of the ”deutsches reichspatent” marking on visor caps. Since the german reich ended in 1945, I Always assumed items with the drp marking are pre- 1945 made. Post war made items sometimes have the dbp or ”deutsches bundes patent” marking (for west german items). I Always kept in mind that very early post war visor caps could appear with the drp marking too, simply because they did not have the time/ interest yet of changing their way of manufacturing. That is what I tought for a long time but it seems the ‘drp’ marking appears on later postwar made items, for sure up to the mid 50’s! As an example I attached a picture of a 1954 made west german camera. Does this also happen with visor caps? Maybe I misiterpreted the term ‘deutsches reichspatent’, I tought the patent ended in 1945 along with it’s appearance … but maybe it turns out it was used later on.. to be clear: If the design of an item or part of it was patented sometime between 1890-1945 and the design of that item has not changed since 1945, that would mean the drp stamp could still have been used for some years. Is this a correct conclusion? I’m only starting to collect so I’m sure some more experienced people will be able to clear things up a little.

I thank you all
