Hi aii. I have the opportunity to purchase this IAB. It looks like a genuine piece, but what concerns me is the excessive pitting on obverse. Casting or honest wear & tear? Please have a look and tell me what you think.

Description: very nice 2nd pattern luftwaffe dagger having an unmarked blade , tightly wrapped wire handle with no issues. scabbard has no dents. blade has a slight bend in it but it is hardly noticeable and the blade fits in and out of sheath. overall a nice display piece without having to break the bank.
